Mobile Payments -
Following news of Paypal launching a store-based mobile payments programme and subsequent piloting of an NFC-enabled application in Sweden, the first retailer has signed up to use the service. Appliance, home improvement and decor retailer Home Depot has announced their intention to accept Paypal mobile payments in selected stores. Compatible devices will be installed at checkouts in the participating stores, enabling customers to pay for their purchases using their mobile device, rather than having to use the traditional methods of cash or cards. Home Depot customers will have the choice of registering their cellphone number to have the purchase billed to their phone account or paying using a card which has been registered to Paypal. Around twenty other retailers are believed to be in talks to also use the mobile payment scheme. If successful, this mobile payment scheme could lead to yet another revolution in the way we shop and pay for purchases. Of course, before your business can accept mobile payments or participate in the rapidly-expanding world of the mobile web, you’ll need a mobile website. If you already have a website but need to make it mobile-compatible, just visit our homepage and type your web address into the converter. Our patent-pending technology will have you up and running, and availing of a 7 day free trial, in just minutes.
